The Departure Lounge

Has your gate been called yet?

During October, at The Eden Cafe in Witney, there will be a number of opportunities to sit down with a cuppa and chat about death, dying and bereavement.

It is all part of a National Conversation that has started this year, with people lifting the veil on subjects which are still all too often taboo in British Society.

Please drop into the Eden Cafe, if you live in or near Witney and share your thoughts and feelings on these subjects.

Meetings will be facilitated by Nick Owen, of  www.deepermindfulness.com, who has worked in this field for many years before retiring from teaching psychotherapy and working in senior posts in health and social services.

For people who would like to take the conversation further Nick offers a course both for professionals in the care field and people who are facing the end of life themselves.

To find out more about the project go to the Academy of medical sciences website and look for the departure lounge there, or go directly via this link:

Contact Becs or Nicola at the cafe to check on times during the day or to ask about a possible evening meeting.

If you have a loved one who is staying at the Sobell House Hospice in Oxford you will be able to enjoy the spiritual art work of Nick Owen, whose exhibition is running there for the next six months.
